Applications for Chicago Public Library's Renaissance Project short-term research grants are now open. Ten microgrants of $4,000 each will be awarded to support research in the Vivian G. Harsh Research Collection and Special Collections at Harold Washington Library Center. Applications are open until Friday, January 7, 2026. The Renaissance Project is an initiative to increase access to archival materials that reflect Chicago's rich Black history. These microgrants were made possible with support from the Andrew W.
